The FMU-1200-MRI magnetic field mapping unit provides an easy and fast method for evaluation and characterization of magnets, both at the factory and on the final location application

Ramping of magnets

The magnetic field center and the magnet’s frequency can be quickly and precisely determined using the FMU-MRI-1200. Guess work and trial-and-error procedures are suppressed, resulting in precise settings and savings in time, effort and tedious labor.

Automated shimming procedures

Super-conducting shims can be rapidly adjusted, while room temperature shims can be automatically converged in a matter of minutes with very high accuracy.

Gradient performance analysis

Accurate information about performance of gradient coils and inserts is easily obtained

Ferromagnetic shim design and evaluation

The FMU-MRI-1200 has the unique and exclusive capability of direct input of the magnet’s data into a single-pass ferro-magnetic shim design software. This allows a streamlined mapping-analysis-ferroshim design operation.
